Or why not admit no capitalist party can ever reduce inequality as inequality is the very essence of the system. Instead of all the effort spent on campaigning for parties that are the lesser of two evils (and do we really have a choice anyway under the neo-liberal consensus which is in effect a dictatorship of the rich for the rich) we should be spending time looking for alternatives way of organising production and distribution to ensure a just allocation of resources.
